Stump Grinding & Removal

Stump grinding or stump removal is a process which removes a stump by grinding it into mulch 6-8” below ground level.

Reasons for stump grinding:

• Allow grass to grow over area
• For appearance
• Prevent stump from growing back

Stumps are removed six to eight inches below ground and mulch is left on top of cavity when finished. All electrical utilities are marked by Dig Safe, a free service provided by utility companies in Massachusetts.
